In an industry driven by innovation, flexibility, and forward-thinking, you might expect us to sing the praises of remote work — but that’s not quite the case for us.
While we are proudly family first and fully embrace flexibility where it counts — school pick-ups, doctor’s appointments, or simply catching your breath when life throws a curveball — we do hold firm on one belief: there’s unmatched power in working together, in person, at the studio.
It’s not that we’re anti-progress or unwilling to adapt. Far from it. Our team is full of boundary-pushing creatives and strategists who thrive on breaking the rules and cutting new paths. But we’ve learned something important over the years, and COVID reinforced it: culture matters to us, it is something we really cherish, and collaboration in a shared space is the beating heart of what we do.
Yes, it’s a controversial position. We know that encouraging everyone to be in the studio is not the easiest path. But we believe in what it brings to our team, our clients, and our work.
When the studio is buzzing, something special happens. Ideas aren’t just shared, they’re sharpened. A quick thought turns into a full-fledged campaign because someone added their perspective in real time. Creative energy feeds off itself, and the result is better work, happier clients, and a team that’s genuinely proud of what we’ve achieved together.
Remote work, for all its conveniences, (and of course, getting to wearing pyjamas during the day is a win,) it simply can’t replicate this dynamic. There’s no accidental brilliance over a shared coffee machine break. No spontaneous problem-solving when someone overhears a challenge. No subtle, unspoken camaraderie that happens when a team is truly in sync. Those moments — the ones you can’t plan for or force — are where the magic lies.
Of course, we understand that this stance might feel counter to the current trend, but we stand by it. We’re not blind to the appeal of working from home, and we recognise that for many businesses and individuals, it works beautifully. But for us, the studio is more than just a workplace. It’s the space where our culture thrives, where relationships deepen, and where the best ideas emerge.
So, while we champion flexibility and always prioritise family and life outside work, we also stand by this: when we’re together, the work is better, the outcomes stronger, and the experience richer. And in the end, that’s what makes all the difference.
